CLEAN GAMES INTERCONTINENTAL CUP RUSSIA - USA: WADE OVAL PARK, CLEVELAND, OHIO

When: October 10th, 2020 (Saturday) between 12PM and 1PM 

Where: Wade Oval Park, Cleveland, Ohio. We will meet in front of the Cleveland Museum of Art's entrace (across from the Wade Oval Park area). 

What: The Clean Games is a team competition aimed at cleaning up natural areas and promoting sustainable practices. The event will be held in different American and Russian cities - with games held within days of one another. Teams of two to four people will compete for one hour. The collected garbage must be handed over to volunteers, and the participants will receive points according to their waste collection amount and type. Separately sorted waste (glass, metal, plastic) earns greater points. Game statistics are kept in real-time on the website and in the mobile application. The tournament winners will receive prizes.

Who: This game is held with the support of the Eurasia Foundation, the US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange Program and the World Aral Region Charity. The Cleveland game organizers are Caroline Jobson and Kyra Dawkins.

How: All equipment will be provided to participants by the organizers (gloves and bags). Wear comfortable clothing that will keep you warm. Bring a bottle of water to remain hydrated. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PPE is required. Participants will not be allowed to engage unless they are wearing a mask (correctly and securely). Participants must also keep a distance from one another. Teams are encouraged to be made up of members from the same household. As the game progresses, participants are encouraged to make note of cleared areas by way of photos. Players will receive additional points for this and can upload photos of cleared areas using the Clean Games mobile application.
